About the Author
Rodney Lockwood, Jr. is the principal in a company that develops, builds and manages apartment and senior living communities. To date, the company has built 60 communities, totaling 7,000 apartment units housing 20,000 people, primarily in Michigan.
He is a Michigan native, attended the University of Michigan where he obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance from Wayne State University.
In addition to his company duties, Rod is former President and Chairman of the Board of the Michigan Housing Council, has served on the Board of a Detroit-based community bank, is a Board member of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, and is the immediate past Chairperson of the Board of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
He lives in Birmingham, Michigan with his wife Patrice. They have three adult children.
Belle Isle is his first book.
